Beihouse
Beirut
About
This project breathes new life into three historic buildings in Beirut’s vibrant Gemmayzeh area, merging a restaurant, bar, courtyard, art gallery, cigar lounge, and private offices. Each space honors the legacy of these once-residential structures, standing as a testament to Beirut’s enduring spirit. Located near the site of the devastating blast, this is not only a preservation project but a symbol of resilience and rebirth.
Embracing the artistry and craftsmanship of local artisans, every detail is carefully crafted. Bespoke plasterwork, trompe l’oeil, and straw marquetry seamlessly integrate with the work of glassblowers, furniture makers, and mosaic artisans. Local fabrics drape the interiors, reflecting the area’s vibrant culture and history. This gathering place, rich in Beirut’s soul, invites both locals and visitors to experience the city’s indomitable spirit and timeless beauty, offering a space that transcends time and celebrates the resilience of its people.
